學(xué)院辦學(xué)歷史悠久，可溯源到1911年美國(guó)Edward Hicks Hume博士創(chuàng)建的雅禮護(hù)病學(xué)校。學(xué)院成立于2002年3月，由湖南醫(yī)學(xué)高等專科學(xué)校合并組建而來(lái)，設(shè)有臨床醫(yī)學(xué)、預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)、醫(yī)學(xué)檢驗(yàn)學(xué)、護(hù)理學(xué)、藥學(xué)、基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)等六個(gè)系和一個(gè)醫(yī)藥學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)管理中心?，F(xiàn)已形成本科生、碩士生、博士生、博士后、留學(xué)生多層次的醫(yī)學(xué)人才培養(yǎng)體系。設(shè)置臨床醫(yī)學(xué)、藥學(xué)、醫(yī)學(xué)檢驗(yàn)技術(shù)、預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)，護(hù)理學(xué)等五個(gè)本科專業(yè)。臨床醫(yī)學(xué)、藥學(xué)、護(hù)理學(xué)、預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)為湖南省一流本科建設(shè)專業(yè)。藥理學(xué)、組織學(xué)與胚胎學(xué)、婦產(chǎn)科護(hù)理學(xué)、診斷學(xué)等7門(mén)課程入選湖南省一流本科課程。生理學(xué)、診斷學(xué)、醫(yī)學(xué)統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)課程為省級(jí)精品課程。臨床醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)通過(guò)了教育部專家組認(rèn)證，有效期為6年。學(xué)院是全國(guó)首批“卓越醫(yī)生教育培養(yǎng)計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目”試點(diǎn)單位，教育部“本科教學(xué)工程”大學(xué)生校外實(shí)踐教育基地，入選教育部首批“三全育人”綜合改革試點(diǎn)院系。
學(xué)院現(xiàn)有教職工207人，其中，專任教師144名，師資隊(duì)伍結(jié)構(gòu)良好，具有博士學(xué)位教師超過(guò)60%，有海外學(xué)習(xí)或工作經(jīng)歷教師超過(guò)20%；目前，有碩士生導(dǎo)師78人，博士生導(dǎo)師12人。高層次教師隊(duì)伍包括：上海高校特聘教授（東方學(xué)者），湖南省“芙蓉學(xué)者”講座教授，湖南省“百人計(jì)劃”（含“外專百人計(jì)劃”、“青年百人計(jì)劃”）5名，湖湘高層次人才聚集工程創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)，湖湘高層次人才聚集工程杰出創(chuàng)新人才、優(yōu)秀青年人才5人，湖南省“芙蓉學(xué)者”青年學(xué)者，湖南省杰出青年，上海市浦江人才計(jì)劃，湖湘青年英才2名，湖南省“新世紀(jì)121人才工程”人選3人。享受?chē)?guó)務(wù)院特殊津貼者3人。擁有學(xué)?！盀t湘學(xué)者”特聘教授6名、“瀟湘學(xué)者”講座教授2名，“世承人才”人選18人。近年來(lái)，我院教師獲得湖南省高校教學(xué)成果一等獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng)和三等獎(jiǎng)，多名教師獲得湖南省高校教師課堂教學(xué)競(jìng)賽一等獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng)。
學(xué)院科研水平顯著提升，在干細(xì)胞研究、小分子靶向藥物創(chuàng)制、醫(yī)學(xué)免疫、媒介生物控制、腫瘤發(fā)生發(fā)展機(jī)制等研究方向達(dá)到國(guó)際先進(jìn)水平。近五年來(lái)，我院教師在Cell Stem Cell、Nature Chemical Biology、Cell Death and Differentiation、PNAS、Cell Reports等國(guó)際權(quán)威期刊發(fā)表SCI收錄論文200余篇。近5年，我院獲得國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目40項(xiàng)，省部級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目69項(xiàng)，科研總經(jīng)費(fèi)3,653萬(wàn)元；獲批國(guó)家專利授權(quán)14項(xiàng)，轉(zhuǎn)讓成果5項(xiàng)。獲得省部級(jí)科研獎(jiǎng)一等獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng)2項(xiàng)、三等獎(jiǎng)2項(xiàng)，醫(yī)學(xué)科技獎(jiǎng)一等獎(jiǎng)。臨床醫(yī)學(xué)學(xué)科連續(xù)8年ESI排名進(jìn)入全球大學(xué)和科研機(jī)構(gòu)前1%。學(xué)院主辦了學(xué)術(shù)期刊《湖南師范大學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)(醫(yī)學(xué)版)》。
學(xué)院擁有基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)一級(jí)學(xué)科博士學(xué)位點(diǎn)，生物衛(wèi)生統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)二級(jí)學(xué)科博士學(xué)位點(diǎn)，有臨床醫(yī)學(xué)、護(hù)理學(xué)、公共衛(wèi)生與預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)、基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)、藥學(xué)、醫(yī)學(xué)技術(shù)等6個(gè)一級(jí)學(xué)科碩士學(xué)位點(diǎn)。2017年起，設(shè)有生理學(xué)博士后流動(dòng)站。擁有基礎(chǔ)醫(yī)學(xué)湖南省“十二五”重點(diǎn)學(xué)科，三個(gè)省級(jí)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室：小分子靶向藥物研究與創(chuàng)制實(shí)驗(yàn)室湖南省重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、分子流行病學(xué)湖南省重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、模式動(dòng)物與干細(xì)胞生物學(xué)湖南省重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室，一個(gè)省級(jí)科研創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)?，F(xiàn)有兩個(gè)校級(jí)產(chǎn)學(xué)研合作基地、一個(gè)校級(jí)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、一個(gè)校級(jí)研究中心、標(biāo)準(zhǔn)SPF級(jí)動(dòng)物實(shí)驗(yàn)室。有良好的分子生物學(xué)、細(xì)胞生物學(xué)和實(shí)驗(yàn)動(dòng)物學(xué)平臺(tái)，該平臺(tái)面積共7,300m2，擁有激光共聚焦顯微鏡、流式細(xì)胞儀、數(shù)字切片機(jī)、小鼠活體成像儀等大型儀器設(shè)備，總價(jià)值7,600多萬(wàn)元。
現(xiàn)有高水平附屬醫(yī)院10家，包括湖南師范大學(xué)第一附屬醫(yī)院（湖南省人民醫(yī)院）。附屬醫(yī)院師資力量雄厚，擁有高級(jí)職稱教師514人，其中，享受?chē)?guó)務(wù)院政府特殊津貼者12人，原廣州軍區(qū)“名醫(yī)名刀”3人，國(guó)家“百千萬(wàn)人才工程”人選1人，衛(wèi)生部有突出貢獻(xiàn)的中青年專家1人，湖南省優(yōu)秀專家2人，湖南省121人才工程專家6人。博士生導(dǎo)師11人，碩士生導(dǎo)師72人。
學(xué)院秉承“仁愛(ài)精勤”的校訓(xùn)精神，遵循“勤誠(chéng)謹(jǐn)毅”的醫(yī)教傳統(tǒng)，致力于培養(yǎng)“至精”醫(yī)術(shù)和“至善”醫(yī)德相融合的高素質(zhì)醫(yī)藥衛(wèi)生人才。目前，在校本科生3200余名，碩士生與博士生401人，留學(xué)生近300人。近年來(lái)，學(xué)生一次性就業(yè)率在90%以上，考研平均錄取率47%，錄取的學(xué)校均為雙一流高校。畢業(yè)生參加執(zhí)業(yè)醫(yī)師考試總通過(guò)率近80%，高出當(dāng)年全國(guó)平均水平近20個(gè)百分點(diǎn)。護(hù)理專業(yè)參加職業(yè)護(hù)師考試，通過(guò)率達(dá)100%，是全國(guó)平均通過(guò)率的一倍。臨床醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)學(xué)生五次參加全國(guó)大學(xué)生臨床技能競(jìng)賽，獲全國(guó)總決賽二等獎(jiǎng)1次，華中賽區(qū)一等獎(jiǎng)4次。藥學(xué)專業(yè)學(xué)生獲得全國(guó)藥學(xué)專業(yè)技能競(jìng)賽特等獎(jiǎng)與一等獎(jiǎng)。近年來(lái)，學(xué)生共獲得國(guó)家級(jí)、省級(jí)大學(xué)生創(chuàng)新項(xiàng)目20余項(xiàng)，獲得全國(guó)大學(xué)生“挑戰(zhàn)杯”二等獎(jiǎng)2項(xiàng)，湖南省“挑戰(zhàn)杯”比賽一等獎(jiǎng)2項(xiàng)，三等獎(jiǎng)2項(xiàng)。學(xué)院“三下鄉(xiāng)”團(tuán)隊(duì)連續(xù)多次被學(xué)校評(píng)為優(yōu)秀團(tuán)隊(duì)，并成為團(tuán)中央與團(tuán)省委的重點(diǎn)團(tuán)隊(duì)。

Introduction on Hunan Normal University School of Medicine
The School of Medicine is located in the Xianjiahu campus of Hunan Normal University at the north of Yuelu Mountain. It is located at the south to the beautiful West Lake Park and north to the flourishing Jinxing Road and commercial area of Tongzipo Road. The campus covers 11.76 acres, and it is a quiet place with complete facilities and wonderful scenery for four seasons.
This school has a long history, which can be traced back to the Yali Nursery School founded by Dr.Edward Hicks Hume in 1911. The School of Medicine was established in March 2002, and it was formed by the merger of Hunan Medical College and Hunan Normal University. Currently, it covers six departments, including the Clinical Medicine, Public Health & Preventive Medicine, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Basic Medicine, as well as the Center for Medical Experiment. Our school has various levels of medical education systems for undergraduates, master program, Ph.D. program, post-doctoral program, and international students. There are five majors for undergraduates, e.g., the Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Preventive Medicine, and Nursing. Notably, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Preventive Medicine have become the first-class construction programs for undergraduates in Hunan province. Currently, seven courses, including Pharmacy, Histology & Embryology, Diagnostics, and Gynecology & Obstetrics Nursing, have been selected as the first-class courses of Hunan province. Significantly, our Clinical Medicine has passed the evaluation by the experts from the Ministry of Education of China, and a certification valid for 6 years was offered. Our school has been chosen as the first‘Excellent Medical Education’ and ‘Three-dimensional Education Program’ of China.
There are 207 faculty members, including 144 full-time teachers, in this school. We have a good quality of faculty members, as evidenced by the fact that more than 60% of them owned Ph.D. or M.D., and over 20% of teachers have experience of studying or working abroad. In total, there are 78 mentors for master students and 12 supervisors for Ph.D. students. The faculty members with high-level quality include the following titles: The Distinguished Professor of Shanghai Universities (Eastern Scholar), The ‘Furong Scholar’Chair Professor of Hunan province, five ‘Hundred Talent Program’ experts in Hunan province, Research Innovation Teamand five individuals for The High Level Talent Gathering Project of Hunan province, ‘Furong Scholar’Young Scholar of Hunan province, Outstanding Young Scholar in Hunan province, Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program, Hunan Young Excellent Talent, three individuals for‘New Century 121 Talent Project’in Hunan province, and three faculty members with special allowance from the State Council of China. In addition, we have six Distinguished Professors and two Chair Professors of “Xiao Xiang Scholars” as well as eighteen faculty members for “Shi Cheng Talents Program”. Our teachers won the 1st and 2nd prizes of the teaching achievements of colleges and universities in Hunan province, and several teachers have been awarded the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in the teaching competition of universities in Hunan province.
The research level of our school has been improved significantly, as evidenced by the fact that our studies on stem cells, drug design targeted by small molecules, medical immunity, the control of bio-vectors, and the mechanisms underlying carcinogenesis have reached the international levels. In the past five years, our faculty members have published more than 200 articles in SCI indexed international journals, e.g., Cell Stem Cell, Nature Chemical Biology, Cell Death and Differentiation, PNAS, and Cell Reports. We obtained 40grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 69 grants from Hunan province, with a total funding of RMB 36.53 million. Additionally, 14 patents were awarded, and 5 of them have been utilized in translational medicine. We won the 1st prize, two 2nd prizes, two 3rd prizes of provincial level of research award, as well as the 1stprize of medical science and technology. Notably, our Clinical Medicine discipline has been ranked in the ESI(Essential Science Indicators) top 1% among global universities for the eight consecutive years. Our school edits the academic journal, namely the Journal of Hunan Normal University(Medical Edition).
Our school can offer Ph.D. programs in Basic Medicine and Biological Health Statistics as well as Master programs in six majors,including Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Basic Medicine, Public Health & Preventive Medicine, and Medical Technologies. We also provide the post-doctoral program in Physiology since 2017. We have the key discipline in Basic Medicine of the 12th Five-Year Plan for Hunan province, three key laboratories, namely Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Small Molecules-Targeted Drug Research and Creation, Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology, Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory ofAnimal Models and Stem Cell Biology, and a Provincial Research Innovation Team. There are two school-level of Industry-University-Research cooperation bases, one key laboratory and one research center at school levels, and SPF-level animal facility in this school. An excellent platform for molecular biology, cellular biology and experimental animal models is available in our school. This platform covers an area of 7,300 square meters, and it has a number of large instruments, e.g., confocal microscope, flow cytometer, digital microtomes, and animal living imager, with a total value of over RMB 76 million.
Our school has 10 affiliated hospitals with high levels, including the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Normal University(Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital). These affiliated hospitals have excellent faculty members, and 514 of them have senior professional titles. Among them, 12 faculty members were awarded special government allowance from the State Council of China, and three faculty members won the‘Famous Physician’in the Guangzhou Military Region. There are national ‘Million Talent Project’ winner, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contribution from the Ministry of Health of China, two outstanding experts of Hunan province, and six talent engineering experts from Hunan province. We have 11 mentors for Ph.D. students and 72 supervisors for master students.
Adhering to the motto ‘Be Humane, Caring, Excellent, Industrious’of our university and the medical & religious tradition ‘Industrious, Integrity, Rigorous, Perseverance’ of our school, we are committed to educating the high-quality medical and health professionals who possess the ‘best’ medical skills and the ‘perfect’ medical virtues. At present, there are more than 3,200 undergraduates, 401 master and Ph.D. students, and nearly 300 international students. In recent years, the one-time employment rate of students in our school is over 90%, and the average acceptance percentages of postgraduates are 47%; these students were enrolled the double first-class universities. Recently,the pass rate of graduates participating in the Clinic Practitioner Exam is nearly 80%, which is higher than the national average by nearly 20%. The nursing graduates participated in the Chinese Licensure Examination for Nurse, with a pass rate of 100%, which is double when compared to the national average rate. The Clinical Medicine students have participated in the National College Student Clinical Skills Competition five times, and they won the 2nd prize in the national finals and the 1st prize in the Central China Competition four times. Students in Pharmacy won the best prize and the 1st prize of the National Pharmaceutical Professional Skills Competition. In recent years, students have been awarded more than 20 innovation projects from China and Hunan province, two 2nd prizes for national college students ‘Challenge Cup’, two 1st prizes, and two 3rd prizesin ‘Challenge Cup’ of Hunan province. The “Three Rural Project” of our school has been rated as the excellence by ouruniversity for many times, and it has become a key team of the Youth League Central Committee of China and Hunan province.
Our School follows the national strategy of ‘Healthy China’, and we promote the ‘cooperative development of medicine, education and research’. We emphasize on the first-class undergraduate education and develop postgraduate programs, with the aims to further improve the qualities of students and faculty members, discipline development, and scientific research. Hopefully, our School could become the first-class college in Hunan province and a medical college with the significant influence in China.
